On 22nd May 2022, Hibiscus Foundation for Social Welfare organized a first-of-its-kind event- the Tamil Nadu Youth Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Summit. We had over 325 registrations with 101 youth-led/youth-focused organizations and 10 partners. They came together to discuss SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality, SDG 14 (Life Under Water), SDG 15 (Life on Land), and SDG 17 (Partnership between the Goals) to provide recommendations for the same. We had a 6-hour-long event with proactive participants who produced a comprehensive recommendation list for each SDG.

The summit allowed all participants to interact and speak in break-out rooms to ensure all youth voices were heard.

In May 2023, we hosted a Youth Sustainable Development Goals Summit at Vels University such as Gender Equality, Education and Climate Action. Over 200 student and youth advocates interacted to develop a call to action on youth inclusion and empowerment
