Department of Youth Mental Health at Schizophrenia Research Foundation (India)
SCARF (I) (Schizophrenia Research Foundation) is a non governmental organization that has been working in the mental health field for the past 40 years. It has engaged in providing clinical services, conducting research, engaging in outreach and dissemination activities with an intention to reduce mental health stigma and providing training to various cadres of individuals wishing to improve mental health care. The Department of Youth Mental health is focused specifically on individuals between the ages 12-24.
We conduct research that helps to find and create change in society. Working directly with the youth and their families helps develop different approaches to providing solutions to treatment and caregiving. Our programs and initiatives are set to fulfill the motive of creating awareness and empowering the youth and their caregivers to help with their mental health issues. Resource center for Youth Mental health by SCARF (pronounced Rhymes) is a project aimed at providing a safe space for the youth (ages 15-25) to engage with each other, create an environment for caring for themselves and their peers and learn about mental wellbeing.

Heart It Out is an award-winning team of Psychologists, Psychiatrists and Therapists in Bangalore that offer Therapy for Anxiety, Depression, Relationship Concerns, Trauma, Grief, Sexuality, ADHD, OCD and 85+ Mental Health conditions in English & 15+ Indian languages including Hindi, Bengali, Kannada, Tamil and more.
We offer support for adults (18-65), children (5+), teens (13-18) and seniors (65+). Heart It Out has queer-friendly and trauma-informed therapists that provide a safe and non-judgemental space to people from all genders and socio-economic backgrounds.
That Desi Psychologist
Initiating difficult conversations
That Desi Psychologist is a registered organization tackling critical life issues often hidden by stigma. They focus on mental well-being, healthy relationships, sexual health education, LGBTQIA+ inclusion and menstrual health. They prioritize the mental health of psychologists and provide upskilling opportunities. Through approachable and engaging methods, they challenge societal misconceptions.
Offering pro-bono therapy, bootcamps, specialized training, and a podcast, Desi Dialogues, they foster inclusive conversations. Their Instagram posts and Discord community encourage real-time interaction and peer support. Highlighted on TEDx, they aim to create an informed community equipped to address societal challenges.

Our mission is to drive meaningful change by advancing the implementation of comprehensive health and well-being initiatives for young people, women, and girls.
We operate at both local and international levels, engaging in active advocacy within global multilateral and multi-stakeholder processes at the UN, intergovernmental organizations, and with governmental representatives.
Our mission is grounded in the belief that a healthier and more equitable world is achievable through the concerted efforts of passionate young leaders.
YWB envisions a future where the well-being of the youth in the global south is prioritized, ensuring a robust foundation for the development and prosperity of generations to come.

Project Statecraft is a pioneering organization committed to fostering civic engagement, policy understanding, and social impact, particularly among young people. We work to equip future changemakers with the knowledge, skills, and platforms they need to drive effective, sustainable change in their communities. Through initiatives in public policy, social advocacy, and educational programs, Project Statecraft enables youth to become informed, active participants in democracy and community development.
Our programs cover various facets, including workshops, simulations, and bootcamps, that emphasize practical skills and theoretical understanding of policy-making, governance, and advocacy. Additionally, our initiatives like the Youth Advisory Council bring together young leaders from diverse fields to engage in collaborative, cross-sectoral problem-solving. We also focus on gender equity, climate action, and economic inclusivity, addressing these pressing global challenges through advocacy and policy-driven discussions.
With partners across government bodies, NGOs, and academic institutions, we are creating a multi-faceted ecosystem for young people to explore, engage, and lead on issues critical to society’s progress. Project Statecraft’s unique blend of experiential learning and impactful programming positions us as a vital platform for those who aim to contribute to a fairer, more informed, and inclusive future.
